About the Role:
As an AI Ethicist / Responsible AI Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the ethical framework and governance of AI technologies within our organization. Your expertise will guide how we design, develop, and deploy AI systems to ensure they are responsible, transparent, and aligned with both regulatory requirements and societal values.

You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams—including AI researchers, engineers, product managers, legal experts, and compliance officers—to embed ethical considerations throughout the AI lifecycle. This involves proactively identifying potential risks such as bias, discrimination, privacy violations, and unintended consequences, and creating actionable strategies to mitigate these risks.

In this role, you will also be at the forefront of interpreting emerging AI legislation and global standards, advising leadership on regulatory compliance and best practices. Your work will help build trust with customers, regulators, and the public by ensuring our AI solutions promote fairness, accountability, and respect for human rights.

Additionally, you will champion the culture of responsible AI through organization-wide training and awareness programs, fostering an environment where ethical AI development is a shared priority. Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and interpret AI-related laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines globally and ensure company compliance
• Develop, implement, and maintain responsible AI policies and best practices throughout the AI lifecycle
• Conduct risk assessments related to AI ethics, bias, fairness, and privacy
• Collaborate with AI developers, product managers, and legal teams to integrate ethical considerations into AI design and deployment
• Lead training sessions and workshops to raise awareness about responsible AI principles across the organization
• Review AI models and systems for ethical risks and suggest mitigation strategies
• Stay abreast of the latest research, debates, and trends in AI ethics and governance
• Serve as the company’s subject matter expert on AI ethics and responsible AI initiatives

What We Are Looking For:

• Strong knowledge of AI ethics frameworks, fairness, bias mitigation, transparency, and accountability
• Up-to-date understanding of AI regulations and legislation (e.g., GDPR, AI Act, etc.)
• Experience advising on or implementing AI governance and compliance in technology projects
• Ability to translate complex ethical and regulatory concepts into actionable policies and practical guidance
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Background in AI, ethics, philosophy, law, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working collaboratively in cross-functional teams
